After spending the night of July 9 at a forgettable RV park, we had another scenic drive (we didn\u2019t expect so many sandy beaches and beautiful little bays) along the northern shore of Lake Superior and the beginning of the route along Lake Huron before arriving at Chutes Provincial Park, where the sites were surprisingly large and private.  During the drive we passed the 5,000 km mark for the trip!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chutes Park is known for its Twin Bridges Trail along the historic River aux Sables and Seven Sisters rapids, and has several viewing platforms from which to see the rapids and \u201cchutes.\u201d  The river was used from the late 1800s to the 1930s as a transportation route for treacherous log drives moving raw lumber from the forests to sawmills on the Great Lakes.<\/p>\n\n\n
