On the way to Montreal we took the Chemin du Roy (King&#8217;s Road) &#8211; the oldest highway in Canada &#8211; from Quebec to Trois-Rivieres, whose picturesque towns, Neuville, Cap Sant\u00e9, etc., raised our spirits, as did the real estate prices!
