The former can carry unwanted insects and flora diseases, and the latter can carry avian flu.  Makes sense.  But then came questions about our HEMP hearts!\u00a0 We had to explain that we sprinkle them, chia seeds and ground flax on our morning oats.  Phew, the border guards were finally satisfied.\u00a0 We fully expected questions like &#8220;Is your cat vaccinated for rabies?&#8221; or &#8220;Are you carrying any recreational drugs or open alcohol?&#8221;
