There are two items worth mentioning from our drive to Fargo:  Firstly, we crossed the Mississippi River, and secondly, we passed the 10,000 km point in our trip!  Something else that can\u2019t go without mention is our campsite in Fargo, right on the Red River – our front yard for two days.  Years ago we read Don Starkell\u2019s account of his epic 12,000 mile trip from Winnipeg to the mouth of the Amazon by canoe (!), which included the Red and the Mississippi rivers.  ( https:\/\/amp.wbur.org\/onlyagame\/2017\/10\/06\/starkell-paddle-to-the-amazon <\/a> ).  It was fun to imagine he went by our campsite during the early part of that incredible adventure.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
