29, 30 (days 90 &#038; 91) &#8211; Cle Elum, WA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We spent our third and second last nights of the trip at The Whispering Pines RV Resort at Cle Elum on the Yakima River, in the Washington State County of Kittitas, 320 kms from Port Angeles where we&#8217;ll catch our ferry home.\u00a0 It was another hot two days with temperatures in the low 30s, so we were glad to have some shade at our site.\u00a0 Chelan, the county next to Kittitas, received an emergency evacuation order due to forest fires on the 30th, which reminded us that we\u2019ve been lucky on the trip to not have weather events like floods or fires force us to change any plans.\u00a0 We\u2019ve only met friendly Americans through the US, and that continued at Whispering Pines, where we met Jon and Jena from Tucson, AZ, who gave us some good info about their home area which we hope to visit in the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
