Aug 6, 7 (days 67 & 68) – Sarnia, ON & Bay City, Michigan

After a relaxing second day at Country View RV Park, we finally resolved the issue of Jonty’s spacial awareness to avoid the chance of further injury (see options below).

Following this, we crossed into the US at Port Huron, Michigan, and were pulled out of line for extra attention, because of a small potted plant and four uncooked eggs. The former can carry unwanted insects and flora diseases, and the latter can carry avian flu. Makes sense. But then came questions about our HEMP hearts!  We had to explain that we sprinkle them, chia seeds and ground flax on our morning oats. Phew, the border guards were finally satisfied.  We fully expected questions like “Is your cat vaccinated for rabies?” or “Are you carrying any recreational drugs or open alcohol?” … “Yes,” “no” and “yes,” but the questions were never asked, so we proceeded without much inconvenience.

Option A: A permanent head bumper or …
Option B: Window bumpers.
We went with B to not arouse suspicion during the border crossing.
Today was 30°, feels like 38° in Bay City … Misty always finds the coolest spots.
Without exception, we’re always the smallest “rig” on site.

  1. Protection pour les cadrages des fenêtres et surtout pour Jonty.
    Solution simple et efficace.

  2. Option A looks good on you ! I think you just need to upgrade and add some insect feeler type devices for complete safety.
