June 12 – Banff, AB, Day 1

Arrived in Banff National Park, after a short drive from Canmore, and set up at our secluded campsite at Tunnel Mountain, Village One.

View of Cascade Mountain from our campsite. A completely unprepared Jonty climbed this mountain in his early 20s, and came back down by rescue helicopter (but that’s a story for another time).

  1. Cascade Mountain is a story I want to hear at our coffee in September! You are in such a beautiful part of the country. Enjoy!

  2. Je vous envie, que c’est beau. La température ne semble pas trop froide. Tant mieux!
    Attention aux animaux sauvages.

  3. Beautiful photos, I always loved Banff , Tunnel Mountain campground, camped there many times in the ‘old days’ .
It looks like you have a great camping gear setup with the Boler and the other shelter etc.

    1. Me too. Was really fun to return to a place I knew as a kid to see it as an adult. I appreciate the amazing scenery of the Rockies much more now than as a child.
