June 26 – Moosomin Regional Park, SK, Day 3

Due to the stormy weather, interrupted by calm moments which brought out the mosquitoes, we really appreciated having our dome tent in which we spent a lot of the day reading, and researching Winnipeg, our next destination.

When the gusts of wind got up to 60 km/hr we retreated to the boler, while the North Face tent showed how sturdy it was, bending but not breaking in the heavy winds.
During a short break in the weather we drove to town to restock our supplies, and visited with some locals along the way.

  1. Did you take your violin by any chance? The cows would thoroughly enjoy a spontaneous performance!!

    1. I should have, to sooth the soul of the savage beasts, as the mama and papa bovines were not thrilled with me when I got closer to their offspring!
