June 24, 25 – Moosomin Regional Park, SK, Days 1 & 2

We’ve had a tough couple of days, emotionally. Wanting to take the road less travelled to Moosomin to see more of the countryside and its small towns, we ended up on a gravel road for 55 kms, which caused a lot of damage (multiple small chips from rocks) to the front of our freshly painted trailer. 😢 We’re researching the possibility of getting work done (installation of a rock guard) on the boler in Winnipeg, where we’ll be next week.

That darn gravel road.
We’ve been lucky to not encounter many mosquitoes on the trip; however, that’s not the case at Moosomin Regional Park, so we’re very thankful for our North Face dome which allows to sit outside while being protected from the annoying pests. Although there are no tornado warnings, the site we are at went from muggy to cold and very windy which almost flattened the dome overnight.
Misty, comfy as ever and oblivious to our troubles.
