We had one of our shorter drives of the trip (about two hours) from Montreal to Ottawa before setting up camp at Poplar Grove Campground in Greely on the outskirts of Ottawa. It was a sunny, pleasant day and the traffic was minimal, but it was hard not to feel melancholy as the date marked one year since our beloved dog, Lola, died.
We adopted Lola in 2007 and got the boler in 2008, so she was with us on every trip prior to this one.
Speaking of animals, Misty, as we’ve mentioned previously, continues to do well on-leash exploring her territory, which changes every couple of days.
And she never misses out on a good movie, here watching The Shawshank Redemption with us.
